Description
The Many Faces of Our Mental Health exhibit increases our scientific understanding of mental health using paintings, photos and sculpture. Six paintings, two sculptures, video and 99 Portraits - explain the science of our unique DNA and our mental health by Artist Lynda Cutrell. The 99 Faces Project: Photos of 33 individuals on the schizophrenia spectrum, 33 on the bipolar spectrum, and 33 those who love them. Portraits mirror US population diversity using Census Data, ages range from 3 years old to 90 and include individuals from every walk of life - homeless vets to billionaires, doctors, teachers, lawyers and judges.Challenge yourself? You can’t determine who has each experience. No one is labeled, as symptoms are not the person. These portraits honor all faces, regardless of the presence of a mental illness. Sponsored by NE Delta Dental. Additional Sponsors: Concord YMCA, Disability Rights Center - NH: PAIMI Advisory Council, New Futures, and NH Community Behavioral Health Association. The Many Faces of Our Mental Health Exhibit is part of the 99 Faces Project. Exhibit viewing is available during scheduled tours. Advance reservations are required. All guests must wear masks. Private tours are also available for groups of 6 or more. Contact [email protected] to schedule. Elevators are available to access the exhibit on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Concord YMCA. Please request other disability accommodations at least 48 hours in advance by emailing [email protected].
