Learning the Fine Skills of Managing Community Portraiture Activities
SATURDAY AUGUST . 21: 3-8PM & SUNDAY AUGUST 22: 10AM-3PM
IP artist Tomas Leal will lead Fresh Voices artists through a detailed review of the art of community portraiture. The crew will brush up on their set up skills, lighting and client management, as well as Lightroom organizing and editing and uploading for community access to final products.
The event will continue into Sunday with the Fresh Voices crew posing for one another for professional photographs that will be used in their staff and artist pages on the In Progress website.
This activity is open to the public but is highly focused on the needs of our local Crookston crew.

In Progress’s mission is to diversify cultural dialogue and pave the way for new voices in the field of digital art making. In Progress provides opportunities for newly developing artists to develop their skills as digital storytellers and leaders through the use of photography, video, music and other forms of digital media. This small non-profit has been promoting the voices of new and emerging artists since its inception in 1996. Those of us that work with In Progress are committed to breaking down barriers of geography, class, education, and culture. We use digital art making as a tool for public discourse, while building the skills of new makers so they may create, teach and lead.
