Sr. Installer - Warehouse racking, mezzanines, conveyors, etc. $16-$18/hour depending on experience, qualifications, and references. Desire 2+ years of general construction. Installer - Warehouse racking, mezzanines, conveyors, etc. $13-$16/hour depending on experience, qualifications, and references. Entry level construction laborer. RakTek Midwest is seeking 1 of each of the above positions. RakTek Midwest is one of the leading warehouse material handling equipment installation companies in the central United States. With over 20 years of experience in business, we are trusted and relied on by all the major warehouse equipment wholesalers in Midwest, as well as nationally. RakTek Midwest installs all varieties of warehouse material handling storage systems (pallet rack, drive-in rack, push-back rack, pick modules, pallet flow systems, etc.) as well as conveyor systems, in-plant offices, mezzanines, dock levelers/restraints/curtains, and a variety of other systems commonly found in a warehouse. We also install smaller shelving systems for parts warehouses, auto dealerships, fast food restaurants, government facilities, and a variety of other clients. These are full time, hourly wage position with year-round work, responsible for installing equipment in warehouses. You must me on-time, accurate, quick with tasks, professional, and safe. Team chemistry is a must and we are looking for people who have a long track record of following supervisor instructions as well as getting along with supervisors and co-workers. Requirements: You must have a valid drivers license and a reliable mode of transportation to get to the job sites in and around Omaha. Occasionally we work on military bases, so if you have any felony on your record, even non-violent minor felonies from many years ago, you will not be considered. A background check will be performed. The ideal candidate is someone not afraid of hard work during a long work day, and who has no problem answering the alarm clock each and every morning on time. We occasionally work in food processing facilities, which means we work in coolers (32-37 degrees) and occasionally in freezers (zero to -20 degrees). You will need to provide your own cold environment clothing. There is frequent travel, approximately 60% of the time. Transportation is provided by the company. All travel expenses are paid by the company. When traveling, you will ride with the crew leader in his truck. A typical out-of-town job is between 3-10 days. About once a quarter there is a job that will go 3 weeks or more. About once a year there is a job with an extended timeline, from 4 to 8 weeks. We endeavor not to work weekends. However, some weekend work will be necessary as dictated by clients. Rarely we get a job that must be completed during a 2nd shift timeframe. During the second half of each year, we are extremely busy so plan on a lot of overtime. A typical work week is 40-48 hours. This is non-union work. Job Duties 1. Abide by all policies including: attendance policy, substance abuse policy, OSHA safety policies, personal conduct policy, general work policy, and travel policy. 2. Show up on time every single day ready to work. 3. Operate a scissor lift, or other lifting equipment in a safe manner. Experience running a scissor lift is a bonus. Typical work happens in scissor lifts from 10-30 feet in the air. 4. Install material handling equipment such as rack systems, mezzanines, in-plant offices, conveyor systems, dock levelers, and the like. 5. Tear-out material handling equipment of the same variety. 6. Manage and operate tools such as impact wrench, hammer drill, Sawzall, grinding equipment, screw guns, banding kit, and all varieties of hand tools. 7. Lift beams, uprights, conveyor sections, wood and metal decking, and the like up to 50+ pounds frequently each day. 8. Clean each job site thoroughly at the end of each day. This includes picking up debris and trash from packing materials, vacuuming cement dust from anchoring, sweeping, organizing, etc. 9. Wear the proper attire every day, including steel toe boots, jeans without holes, hard hat, safety glasses, hi-vis shirt/vest, ear protection, work gloves. You are required to provide your own proper attire each day. 10. Show respect for co-workers, supervisor, and the client. Benefits are as follows: 1. Weekly direct deposit paycheck 2.
