Get a free sneak peek of the newest documentary by Ken Burns, Muhammad Ali, Tuesday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Auditorium at Knight Theater followed by a panel discussion hosted by noted film producer and WBTV Reporter Steve Crump.
Joining Crump will be Tom Sorensen (retired Sports Columnist, Charlotte Observer), Kelvin Seabrooks (Former IBF Bantamweight Champion), William “Mack” McDonald (CEO of Renaissance West Community Initiative), Rev. Dr. Sheldon R. Shipman (Greenville Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church), and Johnathan Hill (Vice President of Public Relations and Communications, 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte, Inc.).
The film brings to life one of the most indelible figures of the 20th century, a three-time heavyweight boxing champion who captivated millions of fans across the world with his mesmerizing combination of speed, grace, and power in the ring, and charm and playful boasting outside of it. Ali insisted on being himself unconditionally and became a global icon and inspiration to people everywhere.
