Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA) is a free Twelve Step recovery program for anyone suffering from food obsession, overeating, undereating or bulimia. Meetings are held every Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church 45319 Deglet Noor Street in Indio, CA at 9 am. For more information or a list of additional meetings throughout the U.S. and the world, call 781-932-6300 or locally at 760-898-7833, or visit: www.foodaddicts.org This meeting is held in Indio every week: Every Saturday, at 9 am St. John's Episcopal Church (Classroom near office), 45319 Deglet Noor Street, Indio, CA 92201 Who Joins FA? FA members are people of all genders and ages. We can be found all over the world--in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. Some of us have been obese, while others have been too thin or have joined because of struggles with bulimia. There are also members who have managed to stay at a normal weight but remain constantly obsessed with food and with maintaining their weight. What we have in common is that our obsession with food has kept us from living fulfilling lives. Does the Program Really Work? Many of us tried diets, exercise, or medication to solve our problems with food before joining FA, but we were still unable to control our eating. In FA, we have finally found an approach to recovery that is long lasting. Some of us have maintained normal weights and have been free of obsession with food for more than twenty-five years. (There are many members with one or two years of recovery, and the number of individuals with five to ten years continues to grow.) How Can I Get Started in FA or Find Out More About the Program? It's easy to begin! We encourage you to attend a meeting to learn more about the program. There are no dues or fees, and newcomers are always welcome. Click here to find a meeting in your area.
