Come to The Studio and learn to sew! This class will be centered around learning how to use a sewing machine and how to do basic alterations Details: Face mask is required while in attendance Price: $50 Location: 2005 Eye street suite 4 Bakersfield CA 93301 We are located inside of Mesh Cowork, just above Dagnys Coffee Shop Time: 10 AM Workshop description: Who is this class for: Non-experienced-beginner sewists Have you ever wanted to learn how to hem your own pants or replace a button? In this workshop we will do just that. We will be teaching how to use a sewing machine and basic alterations such as hemming and button installation. -Sewing machines, tools, and thread are provided (if you have your own machine it is encouraged that you bring it) What to bring: -We will provide material to practice on but if you have a garment you would like to alter, bring that item (examples: pants/skirt) The Studio is a creative space ran out of MESH cowork in downtown Bakersfield. The Studio offers both sewing and creative workshop for all ages. Instructors Amanda Shaffer and Jocelyn Dimaya teach both private and group sewing classes. The Studio brings in different makers to teach workshops every month such as woodworking, painting, calligraphy, and so much more.
