Enjoy a day at Venice Beach Recreation Center on Sat. Aug. 21, 2021. Games, tournaments, demos, kids activities, classes, lessons, & more! Team Venice Beach, in conjunction with City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, Venice Beach Recreation Center, and L.A. City Council District 11, is stoked to announce the First Annual Venice Beach Summer Sports Day will kick off on Sat., Aug. 21, 2021. The newly cleaned and upgraded Venice Beach Recreation Center will be packed with a full day of free sporting activities, games, contests, clinics, demos, and more including: Skateboarding, Surfing, Roller Skating, Handball, Soccer, Basketball, Calisthenics, Paddle Tennis, Pickle Ball, Kids Arts and Crafts, Boardwalk Fun Run, Beach Volleyball, Sound Bath, Yoga, Fitness Classes, Hula Hooping, Food Trucks, Resource Fair, A Venice Paparazzi Photo Booth, and more! The fun starts at 8:00 a.m. with a group stretch followed by a community 5k, and then it is on to a full day of sports, fitness, and wellness! So, come on out, bring your friends, bring your family, bring your neighbor, bring your dog, and most of all bring your game to Venice's legendary ocean front recreation area. Date and Time: Sat.
