Male gray and white Cockatiel for adoption. He is about 8-years old. His name is Mr. Nubbins. He cannot fly so you will never have to clip his wings. He knows how to step up (after he gets to know you) and can wolf whistle. He likes to make kissing sounds and will play whistling games back and forth with you when you are in the other room. He's a very cheerful little guy who loves kids. He loves to have his belly kissed when he's perched on your finger. I want him adopted to someone who understands that bird ownership is complex. They can be loud and messy. He does his calls in the morning and the evening then likes to have his cage covered at night to sleep around 8:30. He is generally very quiet outside those times. He likes other birds but can be cranky with other males (but not females), as birds can be. He has co-existed fine with other birds for many years. He loves his mirrors. If you are interested, please read the following before you call: No breeders! He has a genetic birth defect in his wing that prevents him from flying. He is a pet. There are enough birds out there already and to breed a bird with a known genetic handicap is ridiculous. No apartment renters. That is why I need to rehome him. I had to sell my house and birds are not suited for apartments because they can be loud. If you can provide me with landlord approval, I may consider but I don't want him to end up being adopted out again. They can live up to 20 years. I know there are great people out there who would love a bird that their kids can kiss and entertain. If you are a person who understands the commitment of a bird and can give him the home he deserves, please contact me. I do not want to adopt him out. It breaks my heart to do so and it's been a long, difficult decision.
