One of the 100’s core pillars is HEALTH & WELLNESS. "A growing body of research indicates that contact with nature is important for children's cognitive, emotional, social, and educational development. Benefits include increased concentration, greater attention capacities, and higher academic performance. Studies also show that youth demonstrate better motor coordination, reduced stress levels, increased social interaction with adults and other children, and improved social skills as a result of greater activity in nature. " (https://www.conservationfoundation.com/your-impact/youth-in-nature/) For youth to participate, they must be fully able to engage in physical activities. If any concerns, please consult your youth's healthcare provider. Youth will engage in fun activities both at the Amusement Park and Water Park. Youth will be in smaller groups with a cross spectrum of ages to promote peer mentoring relationships. This also aides in development of empathy in older youth. 1st to 3rd grades4th - 6th grades7th & 8th gradesHigh SchoolWe will incorporate mentoring life affirming lessons during the activities.
