Description

WAUKESHA, WI — The Waukesha Redevelopment Authority will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to consider a request for funding from Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County. The organization is asking for $50,000 in Affordable Housing Rehabilitation Program funds to conduct 10 minor repair projects, according to city documents. The authority will also discuss an update of a Delafield Street development project. The Common Council voted in July to approve a 105-unit "active senior" multifamily project proposed for a 3.38-acre site on Delafield Street by developer Sherman Associates, city documents said. Also on the agenda is an update of the Mindiola Park economic impact study. The authority has been studying the Sunset corridor between Grand and West avenues to determine potential redevelopment opportunities. In the 2021 budget, funding was approved to conduct an economic impact study of Mindiola Park to assess the effects of a proposed soccer complex on the surrounding area, according to city documents.
