"All fire departments have a dual responsibility during wildfire season," said Fire Chief Sara Boone. "Although our primary mission is to provide local emergency response coverage, this is our seventh deployment this season because we have an obligation under the state's emergency mobilization plan to help during wildfire conflagration."
