Here are the top stories in Toledo today: William Zach Pepple, who has a listed residence of both Toledo and Archbold, Ohio, was indicted Thursday on two fourth-degree felonies for vandalizing 27 Lucas County Sheriff vehicles and 2 trailers near the Gene Kranz Toledo Express Airport back in May. (WTOL) August is Toledo Pride month, and the festivities will begin with a multi-faith service at First Unitarian Church on Thursday, August 19. The event will be led by members of Equality Toledo and a Toledo City Councilperson and the event will be livestreamed as well. (WTOL) An attorney for Toledo City Councilperson Gary Johnson, currently charged with violating the Hobbs Act by Extortion Under Color of Official Right, has filed a motion to dismiss the charges against his client. Johnson, along with three other members of Toledo City Council, are awaiting trial for federal bribery and extortion charges. (13abc Action News) Toledo Police responded to shots fired at the 2800 block of Airport Highway early Friday morning. Police were later notified that two people were transported to a hospital by private vehicle with gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing.
