We are a small family owned company (general contractor) looking for hard working and detail oriented people to help continue to grow our company. Most work is light construction in occupied historically-rated homes. Experience in wood work is great but interest and drive to learn are more important. Work area is typically between Kensington and Point Loma, based out of Mission Hills Starting pay between $14 - 18 per hour for full time work. Raises will be based on value to the company so they can happen fast or slow depending on your input. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Set up and break down of job area - Clean up - Directly assisting carpenter - Scraping paint - Possibly driving work truck, keeping it organized and stocked - Glazing windows - Basic measuring and simple cuts with power tools - Learning the trade to move up in company - Random work that comes up Applicants must: -Be able to follow directions -Be trustworthy and reliable with a solid work ethic -Have clean driving record and be able to drive low visibility work truck -Comfortable working small amounts of overtime on regular basis (Work day plus drive time for work truck) -Have an attention for detail -Be able to read a measuring tape and do construction related math -Be legally employable -Be able to understand and speak English -Have a professional appearance and attitude. * Yes, this is construction but it's also the 21st century Ready to start someone as soon as possible Looking for long term employees to learn and grow with company Employer performs background checks on all employees Please send your resume with at least two references and answer the following questions.
