Delivery Truck Driver & Warehouse Returns Specialist – Vuori (Otay Mesa) We are Vuori - an exciting and fast-growing athleisure apparel brand. We are offering a unique role within our Otay Mesa warehouse, as its responsibilities include acting as a driver of our 16-Ft Box-style delivery truck and working as a Returns Specialist in our facility. The dual job description below includes responsibilities for both aspects of the role, as your activities and assignments will be split between the two roles depending on work volume. Vuori Retail Truck Driver/Back-up Driver/Driver's Mate Description: Our Retail Truck driver handles the delivery of carton shipments to our 6 Vuori stores in Southern California. This would involve safely driving a 16-ft Box Truck, operating an attached liftgate (you’ll be trained on that), and delivering cartons into stores with the use of a hand truck. You may also serve as the back-up driver in case the other driver is unavailable. You may also assist as a driver's mate with deliveries when necessary. The normal job hours when working as a Returns Specialist would be 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm. If you're needed to perform truck driving responsibilities, the hours will vary, but will normally be between the hours of 6am-6pm. Overtime pay will apply as needed. When acting as the primary truck driver, you will be traveling to stores as far away as Malibu. Our other store delivery locations are in Del Mar, Encinitas, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Manhattan Beach. You also will be required to make pick-ups and deliveries between the US Post Office, 3rd party warehouses, and our warehouse as needed. You will both work alone and with a driver's mate if safety or volumes require it. You may also be responsible for the refilling of diesel fuel & DEF, as well as other normal vehicle maintenance tasks. Key Qualifications for Truck Driver: • You must be at least 25 years old and have a clean driving record. (You do not need a special license to drive the truck, just a regular Class C driver’s license.) • You must be able to lift, stack, and deliver cartons weighing up to 50 lbs. • You may be asked to provide a driving record from the DMV to our insurer. Prior experience driving a medium-sized truck would be valued, but not a requirement. • You would need to be able to provide your own transportation to/from our facility in Otay Mesa, where you’ll start and end your day. • When making deliveries, you will be expected to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills with both our store associates, customers, and others. You must always be courteous, helpful, and acting with a sense of urgency. • As a Vuori employee, you will be expected to always reflect our core value of providing a great customer experience and forming great relationships. Vuori Returns Specialist Description: As a Vuori Returns Specialist, you are required to process a large number of returns, and verify the units for any defects. You are highly skilled at unpacking and identifying Vuori Gear. You handle the gear with care and inspect it to ensure it is “like new” quality. Keeping an eye on who the return is from and confirming the customer returned what was listed on their RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Ability to identify the garment and to properly identify the right UPC code. Able to separate any defective unit from the first quality units. Key Qualifications for Returns Specialist: • Warehouse experience or retail experience is desired, but not mandatory. • Ability to assist fellow team members; ask a lot of questions & ability to learn quickly • Desire to grow with the company • Ability to self-manage, including time, tasks, and workspace cleanliness • Desire to do the right thing, all of the time • Ability to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to keep busy • Always looking for ways to improve efficiency Pay Rate - Starting pay would be between $18-20/hour, depending on experience and driver/specialist assignment, with some overtime regularly available.
