I remember driving on 101 northbound in 2009 and watching three enormous army vehicles heading towards SFO. Young soldiers wearing Oakley sunglasses....grinning and laughing. I am thinking WTF! Financial crisis was in full swing, foreclosures everywhere, economy/stock market in freefall---and why fly out of SFO when we have Moffett Field??? I wonder if the Taliban are driving those enormous vehicles today, bearing down on Kabul. Come Mr. Taliban and tally me banana....daylight coming and I want to go home.
