Found pitbull on route 17 near camp Lejune

Found this sweet little guy trying to cross the highway 17 yesterday morning. I almost smashed him, but he ran into the woods and I tracked him down. He’s sweet! Listens well! I think he may have been abused before. Will cower to a raised hand. Doesn’t bark unless alone. Was fine with my old man but gets excited and wants to jump up, but will listen if you prevent him from it. Seems he’s had training. Not sure how he is with other dogs. Walked him on the crowded beach today without any signs of aggression towards people or children.
