We are looking for an experienced and responsible landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers. The candidate can expect to work outdoors in a mix of weather conditions, and be able to perform several landscaping maintenance duties. Landscaper Duties and Responsibilities Operate push or stand on lawnmowers; may operate heavier equipment if needed Moving and spreading mulch, loam or stone Remove weeds and dead plants; pruning overgrown limbs and leaves Operate string trimmer and edger Using a backpack leaf blower for long periods of time Remove and or plant new flowers, bushes, and decorative shrubs Raking and removing debris when needed Operate heavier snow blowers or other equipment as needed Shovel snow from walkways and steps Properly handle all equipment and hand tools Able to perform maintenance and repairs to equipment if needed Landscaper Requirements and Qualifications High school degree or equivalent educational experience Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping a plus Must pass background check Must be 18 years of age Able to work independently Must be able to safely operate lawn maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc. Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds Must show attention to detail and have strong organizational skills Must be able to work well with other employees Must be able to maintain professional behavior at all times to other employees and clients
