We are a skin care and supplement business (LifeCell) based in South Florida looking to hire about 3-4 new employees. Because we fill bottles and pill capsules with powders, all warehouse employees are REQUIRED TO WEAR FACE MASKS. However, we do not handle any toxic chemicals. Dress attire is very casual otherwise. We have a few positions available. Gradual promotion to office work is possible. Initial tasks for first time employees include the following: 1) Filling bottles with liquid using a basic machine. 2) Folding cardboard into boxes, placing products, affixing stickers and shipping labels. You have the option to sit or stand while working. We also allow you to listen to headphones if preferred or talk with other coworkers so long as it does not interfere with your productivity. Half of the warehouse is air conditioned. Depending on your task, you may sweat while working in the open warehouse. Worst temperatures are usually 85 degrees, but most tasks are performed on the air conditioned side. You will be in an assembly line, so you must complete your tasks in a timely manner. The job can be stressful if you are not a quick worker. Ideal candidates: 1) Able to type 30 words per minute. <-- if you are not computer savvy, you can stay in the warehouse, but there are promotional options to office work for those who qualify. 2) Proficient in English. (We have some employees who only speak Spanish and that is okay, but you must be fully fluent in English to advance to office work). 3) Able to sit and stand and move about easily. The job can require you to move from one side of the warehouse to the other and being reasonably fit is definitely optimal. Hours are usually 8 AM to 4 PM, but times can be flexible with starting hours as early as 6:30 AM or ending as late as 5 PM. Employees who are mentally sharp move up quickly. We also encourage you to apply with a friend. College degree is not required, but you must be fully able to read and write. The job requires learning so you need to stay alert. (This is not a covid standard -- this is a supplement manufacturing compliance issue). 4) Include any questions you might have about the position. 5) Let us know your level of English. (Again, not required to speak English, but this will assist in our decision). 6) If you know your WPM (typing level), let us know it. 7) Let us know why you are presently looking for a job. (Were you fired? Are you a recent graduate? Explain briefly). Most new workers are between 22 - 38 years of age but mainly on the younger side. Having an easy going personality definitely will help.
