Description
“Thriving in an Ever-changing World” How to use leadership principles to guide you, your family, your business, and your community. Come and join us for an evening of learning and enlightenment on September 18, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by a casual meal and the opportunity to watch the BYU v Arizona football game. Dan Duckworth, a national expert on leadership transformation, will join us for an interactive presentation that will help us gain knowledge and experience to help our families, church, and companies thrive in an ever-changing world. For 20 years, Dan consulted with Fortune 500 companies across the US. As a result of professional workshops, he discovered that individuals and families had been transformed by following the principles learned in the workshops. Now through his company The Crucible Life, he guides individuals, families, churches, and communities through the ongoing world of change. He is a member of the Board of Directors of LeadingSaints.org, which provides content for podcasts to provide Latter-day Saints leadership skills for their Church callings. He has a BA in International Relations at BYU (’05) and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan (’09). From Dan: "I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ and a devoted husband and father of six. I’m a master changemaker and mentor of changemakers. After decades of leading crazy-intense change initiatives as an insider, a CEO, and a consultant, including 7 years mastering the art of teaching others how to fulfill their God-given potential as changemakers, I founded Changemakers Live. In CM Live, we provide you the structure and community you need to keep going and to level up as a leader. But CM Live is much, much more than that. This is a movement that aims to gather, unify, and empower changemakers the world over. If you feel called to lead change on behalf of the people you love and the communities you care about, then you're probably a changemaker, and CM Live might be your jam." After the presentation, we’ll enjoy a casual meal provided by local food and restaurant providers who are also BYU supporters. The event will be held outdoors in a park-like setting at the home of Darren and Jolene Szendre. Bring your own chairs to help create a casual, intimate environment that supports the interactive nature of the presentation. At the conclusion of the presentation and meal, the Szendres have invited everyone to linger longer and watch the BYU/Arizona State football game beginning at 7:15 p.m.
