Rushour will play all your favorite Rush classics such as “Tom Sawyer”, “The Spirit of Radio”, “Limelight”, “Working Man”, “Fly by Night”, “2112”, and others. Rush was a Canadian power trio formed in 1968. After going through several early lineup changes, the group settled on their long time and best known lineup of Geddy Lee (vocals and bass), Alex Lifeson (guitar), and Neil Peart (drums). The group’s first big break came in 1974 with the song “Working Man” off their self-titled debut album. The song was played by DJ Donna Halper at WMMS in Cleveland, Ohio played the song on air. Rush spent the 1970’s releasing a slew of classic albums such as Fly by Night, Hemispheres, and the everlasting 2112. The band began the 1980’s with Permanent Waves in 1980 and Moving Pictures in 1981. Permanent Waves featured “The Spirit of Radio” and Moving Pictures the classic rock radio staple “Tom Sawyer”. They released their final album Clockwork Angels in 2012. In total, the group released 19 studio albums. Rush did the R50 Tour in 2015 and announced afterwards they’d be retiring from large scale touring, however after a period of inactivity guitarist Alex Lifeson confirmed in 2018 the band had broken up. On January 7, 2020, drummer Neil Peart died from brain cancer at the age of 67. Rushour will hit the stage at Main Street Station located at 316 Main Street in Daytona Beach at 6 p.m. They will play a 2 hour show.
