Description

AfriFest is a family friendly free event showcasing cultures, food, entertainment, kids/adult games, and other fun activities. APNET is organization its 5th annual African Festival in Cincinnati (AfriFest Cincy) on September 4 at Burnet Woods from 1-7pm. This is the largest African cultural event in the city. It is a free family-friendly/public event that occurs annually in the summer to celebrate Africa through cultural awareness, to enhance the community’s knowledge of the African cultures, and to connect individuals to resources in the community. AfriFest will include musical performances, cultural dances, authentic African/Caribbean food, locally sourced vendors, kids’ games, arts/crafts, a health fair, job fair, tourism fair, and other educational programs. To make the 2021 AfriFest Cincy a success, we need partners/sponsors to show support and collaborate with us. As a leader in the community, your involvement in AfriFest is an opportunity for your organization to receive exposure and to join other individuals, organizations, and coalitions in our community to provide free educational programs (kids’ games, arts/crafts, a health fair, job fair, tourism fair, and many others for attendees) as well as cultural groups/art performers. We believe that supporting this event will provide an opportunity to create awareness about your organization, increase your product awareness and usage, and brand yourself as an advocate of diversity/equity/inclusion programs/initiatives. We have invited several cultural groups, art performers, vendors/exhibitors to showcase and celebrate the diversity and splendor of the African culture. Date/Time: September 4, 2021 from 1-7pm Location: Burnet Woods, 3251 Brookline Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220Cost: Free entrance If you have general questions or want to learn more details about the event, visit https://www.myapnet.org/afrifest or email Sosena Erco (Event Director) at [email protected].
