Sewing Machine Demonstration Join Sherri (one of our Fiber Arts leads) for this 1 hr interactive demonstration on the basics of sewing machine threading, operation, and maintenance. We will cover topics like general machine threading, bobbin making, and needle selection as well as a demonstration of the serger. We will look at a few different Spark sewing machines. You may also bring your own machine if you have questions or would like assistance with that machine (be sure to also bring your machine manual as all machines are very different) Spark Makerspace is a nonprofit membership-based organization in downtown New London, Connecticut. Our mission: Supporting makers with the space, equipment, education, and community to create a spark in their creativity. Members contribute monthly dues to share a full woodshop, 3D printers & electronics, printmaking studio, painting and drawing studio, glass arts, sewing room, shared office, classrooms space, and much more.
