Description

A panel discussion hosted by Sausalito Books by the Bay and the Sausalito Woman's Club with authors and civic leaders. Although our area is considered liberal in thought and politics, we are not immune to issues of race, racism and white supremacy. The impact of George Floyd's murder, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the recent rise of Asian hate crimes resonated deeply in our own neighborhoods. How has this impacted our local communities and what role do we play in addressing these critical issues? Orin Carpenter, Yang Huang, Dr. September Williams and Sausalito Mayor Jill Hoffman will share their insights , experiences and a path forward. Join the discussion; be part of the change.
