Join us for LIT: a literary-inspired evening on September 9 at 6 p.m. Calling all book worms, lit lovers, and book club dropouts! Join us for LIT by Indy Maven, an evening celebrating all things women + literature. Chapter 1: Mix and Mingle Connect with other amazing women while enjoying literary-themed cocktails + delicious hors d'oeuvres. Chapter 2: Shelf Medicate Submit your current situation or mood in 100 words or less in advance of the event by emailing [email protected] with the subject line: Shelf Medicate. A selection of these mini-stories will be read aloud (anonymously) and our expert panelists will share their "prescriptions" — everyone walks away with new book recommendations! Chapter 3: Book Swap Think Style Swap...but with books! Bring one of your favorite reads (in good giving condition) and pass it on with a note inside sharing something like: how it changed your life or perspective, the character you'll never forget, or a favorite page and why. Appendix Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 at the door, with 10% of profits going to the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization. Tickets include food, two drink tickets, and a gift bag. Indy Maven is Indy's best lifestyle media platform for women by women. There’s a gap. We will fill it.
