Description
I'm a guitarist and producer (early 30s m) seeking new collaborators interested in developing a groove-based, danceable, somewhat experimental and improvisatory sound.
Although the latest turn in the pandemic has probably set nightlife back a bit, I'm still trying to look forward (fingers crossed) and so the first aim for this project is a really great and dynamic live show. An ideal situation would be to get a regular gig and to start building a strong audience of folks who like to come out to dance to long sets of deep grooves.
My musical experience is super diverse—from conservatory training to research on other continents—and I'm looking for collaborators with similarly wide-ranging tastes and an interest in experimentation. Posting this ad in hopes of meeting new people to spark this project with, but can also draw on a network of great musicians here and in New York.
If you're an instrumentalist or sound-maker of any kind interested who'd be interested in making great sounds and dynamic, participatory events, please drop me a line. I'm very serious about this work (have only ever worked in music) and so want to make excellent music and will aim at making the project financially viable ASAP. Please especially reach out if your musical practice is connected to community building and/or left politics, and certainly skip this ad if you're opposed to those things.
