Music collective for street performance, live shows, party band. LET'S GET $$$

I'm looking to connect with some musicians and start a collective (something more than a band) and cover tons of Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Rock, Jazz, Blues.. Many covers would be like the original. Some reimagined. Funky versions. Slow some things down, speed some things up maybe. I used to be a rapper. A good rapper. Good rappers are hard to come by. I can do any rapper, impersonate or at least do justice to almost any rapper or rap song for that matter. Real rappers, not the newer Mumble rap stuff. I'm not hating I just don't listen to that stuff too often. I performed in the midwest. Chicago to Nashville. I quit that a few years ago when the culture went to shit and I grew up. But then I went to film School and picked up guitar and learned a little bit of that. I sing a little bit. I chased my dream in rap for almost 10 years, went to film School, but I could still write raps. I'm not really looking to do a whole bunch of original stuff necessarily, I'm just saying, I still got bars. Someday I want to be an old man sitting on the corner playing for change. I gotta get better at guitar first. I'm hoping this project will lead right into that. I love songwriting and lyrics so the instruments always comes second to me... Not overall importance in music, just in how I've developed and what I was more naturally gifted at, word play and songwriting over my ability to pick up and play instruments. I want all the classic instruments, artists, musicians. Percussion, bass, guitar, keys. But beyond that as well. A DJ who can cut records but most importantly scratch, like on The slim shady LP. I want to explore using lots of instruments, but I want there to be somewhat of a conventional sound. I want to get together on Saturday nights, watch the fights, MMA or boxing, because I'm a big fan and unless we have a show I don't want to miss the fights on Saturday nights. after the fights we rehearse, Jam, practice, whatever... eventually we'll probably be doing shows on Saturday nights so we might as well get in the habit of getting together on Saturday nights. anything else could really be explained in person, lots of thoughts ideas and visions but I've already typed a lot here and giving you a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about, once we're in person and I'm able to explain things fully, if you like what you've read, I'm sure you'll like what else I have to say. So if you're into doing some hip hop, Rock, funky, jazzy covers and eventually us be doing large venues and parties because of our crossover appeal, reach out. Lets get together and watch some fights and talk about the plan. Overtime I will refine this ad and repost it but I just wanted to put something out there tonight and get the ball rolling. I'm excited to see what we can create.
