BVCOSP hosts Suicide Loss Peer Support Group monthly on the second Friday at 12:00pm at BVCASA (4001 E. 29th St., Bryan, TX 77802). The Brazos Valley Coalition on Suicide Prevention (BVCOSP) is launching a Suicide Loss Peer Support Group beginning January 8th, 2020 at 12:00pm at the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse (4001 E. 29th St., Bryan, TX 77802). This confidential and free group is open to any adult, 18 and older, who has lost a friend, family member, loved one, or someone close to suicide. Participants will learn they are no longer alone with the ever-changing emotions surrounding loss to suicide; and will gain a renewed sense of hope by joining a caring group of people who help one another through their healing journey. BVCOSP’s Suicide Loss Peer Support Group will meet on the 2nd Friday of every month. This group welcomes anyone who has had to cope with the shock, grief, and complex emotions associated with the loss of someone close due to suicide. Participants are not required to share, but should feel comfortable doing so; as this group strives to be open and supportive. All participants must wear a mask or alternate face covering. The Brazos Valley Coalition on Suicide Prevention has a mission to eliminate suicide across the Brazos Valley, through influential activism & strategic partnership. BVCOSP is dedicated to suicide prevention in the Brazos Valley Council of Government Region of Texas consisting of the following seven counties: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, & Washington.
