Learn how to use a sewing machine and make a placemat!
Learn to sew a “Stitch in the Ditch” placemat. In this class you will learn basic sewing techniques using either your own sewing machine or one from the Port City Makerspace. Fabric materials, thread, and cutting tools will be provided to make one beautiful placemat! Become a PCMS member and you can return to the Makerspace to make a complete set!
Materials included in ticket cost: Fabric, batting, thread kit
Attendees are welcome to bring their own sewing machines but not required.
Instructor: Tricia Mansfield
Tricia Mansfield is a member/maker at Port City Makerspace who likes to do many wood, painting and soft crafts projects. She has made numerous quilts for family and friends and her artwork is shown in New England and Florida galleries.
Attendees who are not yet vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to wear a mask and social distance.
If you are sick or think you may have been exposed recently, please don't come!
This class needs a minimum of 2 attendees to run
Registration closes 3 days before event.
Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 days before your event start date.
