Reiki is an intuitive healing modality that is an accessible method of healing that supports one’s personal journey of self-improvement. Shamanic Elements of Reiki Pre-requisite Usui Reiki Level 1 or other introductory level of Reiki Facilitated by Reina Prado August 28-29, 2021 (12 hours) 10 am – 4 pm PST Class limited to 10 people as we'll be meeting in person. All folks will be required to wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status. In this class, students will be introduced to Shamanic Elements of Reiki to help complement their practice. An introduction on how to palpate the energy field via the elements, a protocol to clear the chakras that does not require use of Reiki symbols, working with plant medicine, crystals, animal allies, creation of altars, connecting with the energy of the directions, and guided experiences to support your client's healing journey will be offered in this one-day course. Students will feel more resourced as they amplify their abilities and attune to the earth, and possibly awaken new gifts. The only requirement is attunement to Usui Reiki Level 1. Students who have been attuned to Usui Reiki 2 may find this course as a complement to the work they already do. Reiki is an intuitive healing modality that is accessible, simple, and a method of healing that supports one’s personal journey of self-improvement. It is based on the idea that an unseen "universal life force energy" or more accurately “spirit energy” that flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and when it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a natural form of healing that creates a beneficial effect and can work in conjunction with other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. To incorporate Reiki alongside other modalities can be another resource to medical and therapeutic professionals, yoga and movement teachers, parents, and/or anyone whose work is to care for others. The Shamanic Elements in Reiki is learning to live in greater harmony and alignment with all the elements, animals, plants, and forces of nature. To be able to summon these spirit allies to release harmful and lower vibrational energies and balance energies through the use of bells, rattles, drums, dance, movement, and their own voice. Shamanism is universal as people from places all over the world have developed similar ceremonies and rituals. The ancestors knew that Nature can balance, revitalize and shift consciousness. It opens us up to unseen and subtle energies and much more than can be perceived with the eyes. Shamanic Elements in Reiki Course is taught by Reina Prado, a holistic energy practitioner and Reiki Master based in unceded Tongva Territory (Los Angeles, California), trained by Madre Jaguar, Scott Smith, Saewon Oh, Erika Buenaflor, and Gary Strauss. This course is a fusion of trainings and experiences in Usui Reiki, Plant Medicine, Witchcraft, Curanderismo, and Polarity Therapy. Participants have an opportunity to learn from a practitioner who brings eight years of experience in the field of holistic energy and over twenty years of teaching experience as a college professor. I will share how I have incorporated these shamanic aspects and Usui Reiki in my practice and life. The course includes instruction, hands-on practicum, manual, 6-months of support from instructor, invitation to participate in Salt & Sage series, and discounted sessions with the instructor.
