Join us as we learn letter sounds & recognition, explore shapes, & build confidence to prepare little one for the transition to school. All storytimes at the Clayton Library employ the Every Child Ready to Read structure. ECRR is a research-based early literacy program that enlists caregivers as partners in preparing their children for learning to read. Storytime is more than just books, together we will Talk, Sing, Read, Write, and Play our way to early literacy confidence. Preschool Storytime is designed for children ages 3 years-5 years. We ask that you only register for this storytime if your child is in this age range. Engage with your kiddo as we prepare them for the transition to school, and we focus on more complex books. Emphasis is put on alphabet sounds and letter recognition, shapes, hands-on activities as well as independence and confidence building. In order to keep our attendees safe, registration is required and space is limited. Please register for each person attending, caregiver(s) and child(ren).
