An in-person event addressing mental health, substance misuse, and suicide along with various resources that promote resilience and recovery Please join us IN-PERSON for our annual September conference, "Breaking Down Barriers: A Resource and Recovery Forum." We are excited to share accurate, up-to-date presentations on the status of suicide, mental health, and substance misuse in the state of Tennessee. The event will also feature panel discussions on prevention, intervention, and postvention resources in hopes to equip attendees to better serve the community. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for registration. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the event, which is included in the $15 registration fee. Various vendors will be present, and certificates will be provided. If you have any additional questions regarding this event, please email Lindsey Carr at [email protected]. Refunds: We understand that circumstances arise and refunds may be needed. Refund requests will be allowed prior to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22nd. Any requests for refunds after September 22nd will not be granted due to catering requirements. If you are in need of a refund, please let us know as soon as possible. **COVID-19 Statement** TSPN is keeping close watch on the status of COVID-19 and the Delta Variant, and it is our desire to ensure all participants are comfortable and taken care of. Proper sanitation of the facility will be completed prior to the start of the event. Masks are encouraged but not required at this time. Hand sanitizer and disinfectants will be provided, and participants are strongly encouraged to stay home if they are experiencing any COVID symptoms. The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) is the statewide public-private organization responsible for implementing the Tennessee Strategy for Suicide Prevention as defined by the 2001 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. Our grass-roots association which works across the state to eliminate the stigma of suicide and educate communities about the warning signs of suicide, with the ultimate intention of reducing suicide rates in the state of Tennessee.
