Description
Back by popular demand, The 9/11 Heroes Run - Charleston and Bay Street Biergarten are proud to present our "Hometown Heroes Night" on 9/5! Join us on Sunday, September 5th at 4 PM for food, drinks, music and more while showing support for our men and women in uniform! Kick back, relax and get ready to dance with LIVE music entertainment from Greg Keys and Company from 4 PM - 7 PM! This event is FREE and open to the public but serves as a fundraiser for the 9/11 Heroes Run - Charleston. We will be running multiple fundraisers during the event such as Donations: Travis Manion Foundation will be accepting donations of $20 in advance through Eventbrite or $25 at the door. These donations will include 2 complimentary beer tickets (21+) and entry into a raffle giveaway! This "ticket" does not guarantee you a table. If you would like a table, please arrive early to the event to secure a table. This event is first-come, first-serve in terms of seating. 50/50 Raffle: Travis Manion Foundation will be conducting a separate 50/50 raffle during the event where half the pool of money raised will be donated to the organization and the other half will be awarded to the winner of the 50/50 raffle. Hometown Heroes Boots Fundraiser: Local hometown heroes' boots will be on display during the event to give patrons a chance to learn more about the local hero and their families and provide the opportunity to donate in support of a specific hometown hero. Additionally, the 9/11 Heroes Run team will be onsite offering in-person registration for their 5K, while also selling t-shirts and raffle tickets. Proceeds raised from this event will be used for purchasing life-saving equipment for local first responders, including Summerville Police Department. Since 2012, the 9/11 Heroes Run - Charleston has donated over $152,000 back to local first responder agencies, in addition to $152,000+ to support our nation's Veterans and Gold Star Families through the Travis Manion Foundation.
