Increase your knowledge of physical security and get hands-on experience picking and bypassing locks. Designed for IT professionals, pentesters, military, law enforcement, locksmiths, and laypersons who want to further their knowledge of locks, lockpicking, and bypassing various physical barriers to entry. This single-evening course will go over the history of lockpicking, look at the hobby of locksport, explain how locks work, why we can pick them, and then dive into lockpicking and bypassing techniques for various types of locks. There will be plenty of lockpicking involved, hands-on learning, and tinkering with locks you probably haven't seen before. You will learn about: Pin and Tumbler locksWafer locksWarded locksDisc Detainer locksHandcuff bypassingAutomotive entryAnd more!At the end of the course all participants will be tested on their new knowledge and, upon passing, will be awarded a certificate and a set of lockpicks. This event is intended for participants aged 18+. The venue has required that all participants wear a mask to this event, if you do not have a mask there will be some available at sign in. Augusta Locksports organizes this event and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational charity. Donations are tax-deductible.
