Sarasota Man Faces Multiple Child Porn Charges

SARASOTA, FL—A 55-year-old Sarasota man has been arrested after detectives found evidence of child pornography in an online account. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says David Sanchez, Jr. faces 40 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material. Sanchez admitted to searching the "dark web" to download explicit images of children, according to the sheriff's office. Detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in June. Sanchez is in custody at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility on a $40,000 bond.
