Description

Chris Porter with Creative Punch Marketing Group will speak on the balance of creativity and purpose-driven design. Join AAF Mobile Bay Thursday, August 26th at 11:30 AM at Innovation Portal for a luncheon with Chris Porter, Owner + Creative Director of Creative Punch Marketing Group. It’s second nature to let your creative mind do the driving when you’re working on an exciting project with your flashy new client. It’s sometimes harder to stay focused on solving problems and achieving client goals. Chris will share some of the tactics he’s used to achieve this while establishing and growing Creative Punch Marketing Group. He’ll give some behind-the-scenes insight into CPMG's work and how to find the balance between the creative idea you swear will win an award and purpose-driven design that will impact the clients you work with. He’ll also touch on growing an agency from the ground up, establishing the culture you want from the start, and maintaining good client & contractor relationships as a small agency. AAF Mobile Bay is a local chapter affiliated with the American Advertising Federation. As a member of District 7 and the national AAF, the chapter welcomes members located in Mobile and Baldwin counties with an interest in advertising. AAF District 7 is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that is committed to serving the communities across the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennesee and the lower half of Louisiana. The mission of AAF District 7 is to strengthen local AAF affiliate organizations (clubs, federations and college chapter members) through leadership training, education, communication, idea forums, enrichment, and recognition programs; promote advertising industry standards; encourage professional development; enhance and encourage business opportunities for professional and student members; defend the advertising industry against adverse governmental action; and act as a liaison between national AAF and local chapters to ensure the vitality of the advertising profession.
