Description

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County has issued a water quality advisory for Robert J. Strickland Beach as a result of a water sampling done on Aug. 9. The sampling showed unsafe levels of intestinal bacteria, which normally inhabits the intestinal tract of humans and animals. This type of bacteria is considered a potential risk because it may cause infections or rashes. Its presence is an indication of fecal pollution from storm water runoff or human sewage. There are no advisories for other Pasco County beaches. The next sampling will take place on Aug. 23.
