WISCONSIN — Wisconsin reached a major milestone as state officials worked to get as many residents vaccinated against the coronavirus as possible. As of Friday, 50 percent of residents were fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Almost 6 million doses have been administered in the state since vaccines were first authorized late last year, according to state officials. "This is an incredible milestone, and we are proud to see the millions of Wisconsinites who have taken this step to protect themselves and their community from COVID-19 and the Delta variant," Gov. Tony Evers said in a statement. "We are closer than we were yesterday, but we can't let our guard down now. We still have a ways to go. Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect our families, our kids, and our communities." Wisconsin has the 29th highest vaccination rate in the nation, according to The New York Times. Nevada is just behind at 30. Here's The Current Breakdown Of Vaccination Rates By Age There are 111,878 residents 12-15 with at least one dose.There are 67,076 residents 16-17 with at least one dose.There are 253,109 residents 18-24 with at least one dose.There are 374,990 residents 25-34 with at least one dose.There are 417,326 residents 35-44 with at least one dose.There are 433,456 residents 45-54 with at least one dose.There are 580,210 residents 55-64 with at least one dose.There are 857,377 residents 65 and up with at least one dose.
