Description
I'm looking for a singer (preferably female, but anyone with the right voice could work) to collaborate with on some downtempo stuff I'm working on. Basic influences are trip hop (Massive, Portishead, Tricky) and post-punk (Magazine, Gang of Four, PiL), and I'm looking for someone who might be able to write lyrics in the vein of Magazine or Gang of Four—sort of obliquely focused on existence from a higher angle or from behind a screen, or somewhat lit-based (trying not to be too pretentious here), though I'm not necessarily tied to that either, it's just an early aim. Definitely just looking for lyrics that aren't too soft or wishy-washy, something with a little darkness and bite, perhaps.

These tracks are developed enough to find a partner, but their arrangements and instrumentation would likely change depending on the type of vocalist that is working on them. I've already started leaning a bit more toward a scratchy, slightly dissonant post-punk sound developed over the top of a single repeated groove since I created these, so maybe a combo of that with some of the synths heard on these tracks. It's all kind of up in the air until I find someone to work with.
