CHELMSFORD, MA — Health officials closed Freeman Lake in Chelmsford Friday due to excessive weeds. The lake will remain closed until further notice. Freeman Lake has been closed multiple times this summer due to unhealthy water conditions, including from July 20 to 22. Heart Pond also closed on August 3 for similar reasons.
