BROOKLINE, MA —Bates College has announced its 2021 graduates, including a student from Brookline who now holds a bachelor's degree. Aidan Temperino, a 2017 graduate of Plymouth Regional High School, graduated after majoring in politics and sociology, said the college in a news release. He was also a member of the College Key, an honor reserved for students who have exhibited outstanding character, academic excellence, campus and community service, leadership, and future promise. Bates graduated 469 students from 38 states and 43 countries at its May 27 commencement ceremonies, which featured introductory remarks by President Clayton Spencer, who praised the graduates for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Your perseverance allowed us to keep the college operating safely, and your lives moving forward, in the face of some pretty high hurdles," he said.
