MERRIMACK, NH — The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the University's 135th Commencement. More than 3,700 undergraduate degrees and 680 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during nine individual ceremonies held over three days, May 21-23, 2021. Timothy Andrew Moran of Merrimack received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Magna Cum Laude. James Michael Wallace of Merrimack received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Summa Cum Laude. Agrawal Pooja graduated from the University of Connecticut in the spring 2021. Vermont Tech is pleased to announce that Evelyn Edes from Merrimack in the Architectural & Building Engineering Technology program is among the 437 students who graduated in the Spring of 2021. The following local residents were among the students who received their degrees in May as part of the Class of 2021 at Roger Williams University Bailee Maston of Merrimack, graduates Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Graphic Design Communications Charlotte Perry of Merrimack, graduates Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Public Health More than 670 students received degrees from Plymouth State University on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The following local students earned degrees: Amanda Franklin of Merrimack, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Erika Lillis of Merrimack, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Kassie Stanley of Merrimack, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts. Noah Wood of Merrimack, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Andrew Trimper of Merrimack, NH, has earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Jacqueline Morin of Merrimack has been placed on the Gettysburg College Dean's Honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2021 semester. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Dean's Honor List. Robert Bunis and Sheehy Natalie were named to the University of Connecticut Dean's List for the Spring 2021. Katelyn McCarthy of Merrimack, was named to the College of the Holy Cross Spring 2021 Dean's List. A member of the Class of 2024, McCarthy is majoring in Political Science. McCarthy was among more than 1,451 students named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2020-21 academic year. To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Dean College is pleased to announce the local students that have earned a place on the Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester. These students have demonstrated a serious commitment to their studies while at Dean College. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average. The following students have been named to the Spring 2021 President's List at Husson University. Students who make the President's List must be enrolled as an undergraduate student, carry a full-time load of 12 credit hours, complete all attempted courses in the time allotted for the semester, and achieve a 3.80 to 4.0 semester grade-point average. Credits from pass/fail classes do not qualify toward meeting the minimum credit hour requirement. Samuel L. Cusson of Merrimack, is enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration program. Amanda Marie D'Amico of Merrimack, is enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C) Certification program. Samantha Lauren D'Amico of Merrimack, is enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Sport Management/Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Kelly Mooney of Merrimack was named to the Lasell University Dean's List for their academic performance in the Spring 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, Lasell students must complete at least 12 credits as a full-time student and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students were named to the University of Vermont Dean's List. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school. Lianna Klinger of Merrimack Allison Ouellette of Merrimack Determined to maintain the spirit of joy and optimism that is the hallmark of UVM's commencement ceremony, but doing so in a safe manner, University of Vermont President Suresh Garimella conferred degrees on graduates at multiple, smaller school and college ceremonies. "Our emphasis will be on celebrating our students. We are very proud of each and every one of them and salute their accomplishment," Garimella said prior to the ceremonies, which marked the end of a highly successful year of in-person education on the UVM campus. An estimated 3,347 graduates, including 2,685 bachelors, 435 masters, 117 doctoral and 110 medical, earned degrees during the university's 220th commencement. Students named to the Dean's List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters. "Grace is one of the many students who demonstrated incredible resiliency amid the challenges posed by COVID-19 during the previous academic year and remained committed to their programs of study," said Assumption University President Francesco C. Cesareo, Ph.D. "Assumption is proud of these students for excelling in the classroom as they immersed themselves in the University's liberal arts curriculum, steeped in the Catholic intellectual tradition, and their majors preparing them for meaningful lives and careers after graduation." 376 students have been named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the Spring 2021 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Kaitlin McNicholas of Merrimack Gianna Wood of Merrimack 911 students have been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the Spring 2021 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Spring 2021 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.
