In partnership with YMCA Day Camp Manitou, the Wright Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring a Paddle On! event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14. The event will be held at Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park and is an adventure for those with are new to canoeing or have been enjoying the water all their lives. The program includes canoe stroke instructions and safety tips. The cost is $10 per person and includes everything you will need – from canoes to oars to life jackets. Children ages 13 and under will need an adult with. Space is limited as spots are being reserved quickly.
