ELMHURST, IL — This week, Elmhurst police arrested three people on charges of DUI involving drugs. Here is information from the police reports:
Barry M. Hartmann, 67, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North York on charges of DUI (drugs) and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on bond. According to a police report, Hartmann was found to be under the influence of drugs after a crash. James Gipson, 46, of Broadview, was arrested about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of South Route 83 on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant and charges of Aggravated DUI, DUI (drugs) and driving with a revoked license. In the same incident, Socorro Garza, 44, of Bensenville, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the DuPage County Jail.Darryl G. Sones, 74, of Addison, was arrested about 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South York on charges of DUI (drugs) and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond.
