Hi! I am looking for a local San Diego based seamstress to help sew handmade coats made from quilts (see photos). Seamstress should be skillful and knowledgeable of design, pattern construction, various sewing techniques and works well with others. You would be assisting in sewing and cutting patterns. You will need your own sewing machine that is durable enough to sew through vintage quilts (1 in. thick), and leather. If you don't have a machine that supports this, please let us know and we might be able to find a solution. Own working space, car transportation will be necessary to support delivery and product pick ups. Compensation structure to be discussed based on job fit and services provided.
