Hello People/ Players of Portland! I am a drummer (who has been out of practice for a bit during quarantine, etc., but working hard lately on getting my groove back), and I'm looking to start a Soul / Neo Soul / Funky project with players who are eager to play music together, and dig into this kind(s) of music. As a drummer and record collector who loves soul, funk, jazz, but specifically SOUL both old and new (think: Stax, Mowtown, Hi, Daptone, Colemine, etc.), I'm hoping to connect with some people who be into putting something together. Guitar, bass, keys, horns, and vocals! The dream would be to establish a project that is fun and to play out eventually and bring/ share/ celebrate this music with the people of Portland+! So if this post has sparked any interest, reach out and let's connect! 2 Quick disclaimers: 1) As I am putting myself out there, I'd just like to say that I am way more interested in playing with people of all skill levels who share the enthusiasm, spirit, AND SOUL for putting a project like this together!
