THE POSITION The Cleaning Guys - CG environmental is looking for full-time Haz-Mat CDL Drivers in the San Antonio and surrounding area. As a CDL Driver, you will proving waste hauling services.. Our drivers carry a wide variety of often high-hazardous waste materials in state of the art equipment. Route will entail short haul, long hauls and in town runs. Typical responsibilities are as follows: 1. Flexibility to work non-standard hours when needed for rotation and emergency response 2. Collection, packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste 3. Transport hazardous materials and waste to disposal sites 4. Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviors 5. Keep required records of work performed This is an hourly position with a 90-day probationary period. Upon completion of probation, company benefits include personal leave and holiday pay, paid life/health insurance for employee and 401K participation. Pre-employment and random drug screenings are required. Safety training will be provided. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Valid CDL license with satisfactory driving record and ability to maintain accurate logs. • Strong work ethic • Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing • Ability to work within a team or independently as required • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds • Flexibility to work non-standard hours • Able to work in extreme conditions (i.e. heat, cold) • 40 hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred (training can be provided) • 10 hour OSHA training preferred (training can be provided) • Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred (training can be provided) • High School graduate and/or GED preferred
