Most Craigslist Pet Ads are Scams. Be Aware

Description

The vast majority of the adds for pets on Craigslist are scams! Seller demands for deposits and holding fees for "rehoming" their pets without first providing verifiable information, legal ID's, and legitimate support information are sure signs that you are about to get ripped off. NEVER provide a deposit or upfront "holding" fee to someone advertising a pet without first receiving legitimate and verifiable proof of who they are. If they will not allow you to pay for the pet upon picking it up, and demanding an upfront "holding fee", THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU! If they will not provide you with the same information they are asking from you, THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU! If they are requiring you to use a pay app without providing you with their complete verifiable information, THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU! If they are asking you to "trust" them, THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU! If they are require that you purchase a gift card to pay them a deposit or "holding" fee, THEY ARES SCAMMING YOU! I hope that Craigslist does not pull this warning to people and I hope this helps you from being taken by the many scum bags that use CL on a daily basis to rip people off.
