All Star Labor and Staffing is currently looking for a hardworking candidate for a customer located in the Albany area for a direct hire position as a night shift coordinator. This company offers BlueCross BlueShield Insurance and the company pays 75% of costs, it offers 3 weeks of paid vacation, a 401K plan with up to 6% matching, and much more. This position generally works 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. three to four days per week. Working a 3,1,3 schedule to include every other weekend. There may be times the incumbent will be required to attend meetings, cover for other absences, etc., outside of these hours. Additionally, training may take place on the day shift to get acquainted with our policies, practices, systems, etc. This is a salaried exempt position. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Build the perfect team to deliver long-term results (safety, quality, reliability, and cost). RESPONSIBILITIES • Team Development • Performance improvement feedback and management. • Lead Team Meetings. • Develop highly skilled operators with backups and succession planning by utilizing the Team Training Matrix and ensure the minimum requirements for each position are met. • Vacation and Time management documentation and capability coordinator to ensure adequate coverage. • Ensure management of Incident Investigations are completed in a timely manner (EHS, quality, reliability, etc.) • Monitor employee attendance and hold accountability, working with Human Resources. • Ensure consistent application of Company policies within your team. Address issues of non-compliance in a timely and appropriate manner. • Responsible for following behavioral safety expectations. • Responsible for continued education of team members to identify and mitigate hazardous situations. • Responsible for identifying and communicating potentially dangerous equipment conditions or operating practices and assist in identifying corrective actions. • Ensure all employees / Contractors are working in compliance with mill safety policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS • Prefer 2 years of Leadership Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Five years of previous work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required. • Proficient in utilizing MS Word and Excel. Experience using MiniTab, ADP, and SAP or similar systems preferred. • Consistently takes ownership to improve specific processes or systems in their technical, functional, or leadership area. • Embraces continuous improvement tools to improve and sustain results. • Ability to troubleshoot non-routine issues independently. • Understands the root causes of intermediate to complex problems. • Able to lead or participate in problem-solving across large systems. • Subject Matter Expert in a functional area. • Develops and writes new Standard Operating Procedures. • Trains other on Best Practices. • Develops training standards for technical, functional, leadership, and/or business management areas.
