People of faith

Description

stood by while slavery was common. Slavery is mentioned several times in the Bible and the entire country of Israel was captured and sent into slavery at least once. So people of faith thought it was ok. People of faith fought hard against women having any rights. Women were considered property in the Bible and women having rights equal to a man was unthinkable to people of faith in the past. People of faith often converted Jews to Christianity at sword point. Many Jews were given the choice of conversion or death during the Spanish Inquisition though this was just one of many periods were Jews were commonly forced to hide their heritage and change their names. People of faith burned Joan of Arc at the stake (very common thing Christians did to people) on what were later proven to be trumped up charges and a fake trial. Not saying all people of faith are guilty of immense evil but there are a LOT of examples. Enough that should give anyone pause. Certainly enough that people of faith should not be riding a high horse around people with knowledge of the past.
