I'm looking for a mechanic. Someone that is capable of at least swapping out a 4x4 auto trans in a diesel, within a 8hr work day. That means from the time the wheels leave the ground, to the time they come back down, 8hrs.. If you aren't able to do that, then your mechanical abilities might not be best suited for our opening. You also must be on time every day, safest way to do that is show up 15-10min early. Just a healthy practice. We will never require overtime. But are open to requests if you want it. You will be accountable for your work. Meaning the customer will have the opportunity to know who is the one working on their car, and EVERY OUNCE of good credit and praise for good work will be given to you. You should also not be afraid to say "I don't know what to do from here" or "I can't figure this particular symptom out". We need honesty on every aspect, and honesty will earn you respect around here. Having your own tools is a major plus, but if you don't, or are missing some essential items, we have a tool truck service that comes to the shop weekly and we will help you set up a plan to get you what you need. ***PAY*** The position opens at $18.50/hr and that's not flag hour, that 8hr a day, 5 days a week. Depending on your employment history, experience, expertise, and work flow, it can only go up from there. *After 6 months of employment without serious negative remarks, you'll get New Years performance bonuses as well. *W-4 employment so you don't have to worry about calculating your taxes. *Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (1hr break) *40hr work weeks *Overtime available upon approval *Your own dedicated bay with vehicle lift Send in your resume through the email on craigslist and I will get to you towards the end of the business day (4-5) Again you absolutely must have experience or at the very least, incredible mechanical inclination.
